Advertising on Marpole Online

Affordable local advertising is available on Marpole Online. It is a great way to reach our neighbourhood market! Your ad will appear in our Business Finder containing over 500 local businesses and organizations and searched approximately 2,000 times every month! Here are our advertising rates as of May 2011. All prices are billed annually unless otherwise stated and are subject to change without further notice.

How to update out-dated listings

All Marpole BIA members receive basic business listings and a short business description including annual updates at no charge. If you are not a member of the Marpole BIA and are already listed in our Business Finder your address and contact information will also be updated at no charge. Please email info@magnetude.com.

Business Finder Text Listings (Company Name, Address & Contact Info)

1. Basic Business Listing:

A business listing includes your business name, address and contact information, and up to 2 categories. It is only searchable by your company name and up to 2 categories. For better results, we recommend purchasing a short or long description (see below).

Price: $60 per year (FREE with the purchase of any graphic ad for the duration of the ad).

2. Basic Business Listing & Searchable Short Description:

Get found more often! Along with your address and contact information, this also includes a 200 character searchable description (approximately 35 words) describing your business. We can edit or update your listing for $20 per edit billed separately.

Price: $120 per year ($60 off with purchase of any graphic ad).

3. Basic Business Listing & Searchable Long Description:

Get found more often! Along with your address and contact information, this also includes a 400 character searchable description (approximately 70 words) describing your business. We can edit or update your listing for $20 per edit billed separately.

Price: $200 per year ($60 off with purchase of any graphic ad).

Graphic Advertisements

All graphic ads appear on every search page for maximum exposure!

1. Small Graphic Ad:

The small ad is our most affordable ad and is great for increasing brand awareness with your logo and telephone number appearing on every search page!

Price: $200 per year (minimum 1 year purchase)

2. Medium Graphic Ad:

The medium ad provides you with more space to describe your business and include a photo.

Price: $200 for 6 months or $300 per year

3. Large Graphic Ad:

Price: $250 for 6 months or $400 per year

4. Extra Graphic Large Ad:

Price: $300 for 6 months or $500 per year

Technical Specifications:

Ads must be submitted in one of the following formats: JPG, GIF, PNG, PSD, AI, TIFF, or EPS. Sizes are as follows: 235x100 pixels, 235x200 pixels, 235x300 pixels and 235x400 pixels. All ads must be 72dpi and no larger than 75kb. Animated GIFs are allowed but should be optimized for the web. Please call us for design, pricing and placement of animated Flash (SWF) ads if desired. For optimum results, please include a landing page URL to your website. Landing pages should further explain the services or offer made in your ad. Linking to your home page or email address may result in fewer sales/conversions.

Graphic Design:

Not sure how to design your ad? It's best to keep it simple and include a call to action. We can design your ad for $50 extra (not including animated ads).

We are currently working out the details for ad positioning. At present, newer ads are placed on the top of the search results page. All prices and terms listed here are subject to change without notification.
