Attention Sandwich Board Users!

The City of Vancouver continues to crack down on the improper placement of advertising Sandwich Boards on city sidewalks.

Please note that there are only two areas on the sidewalk where sandwich boards are
permitted.

1. In the "service corridor" of the sidewalk - next to the curb.

2. Next to the business premise - up against your building, where the setback allows for their placement on private property.

Do not place your sandwich board in the middle of the sidewalk - it is a hazard for
pedestrians.

The City will respond to pedestrian complaints, and fine offending businesses, if sandwich boards are placed in the middle of the sidewalk's pedestrian zone.
