Boomer Drugs
Although it has been a fixture in the Marpole community for many years, Boomer Drugs is new to Granville Street.
Due to a triple-fold increase in rent at its old location on Oak St., owner Barry Jay had to determine whether to close or continue to operate his business at a new location.
"We wanted to stay in the neighbourhood," says Barry. "Boomer Drugs has been in Marpole for a long time."
Boomer Drugs re-opened at its new location - between Tad's Sporting Goods and Amy's Loony-Toony Town - on April 3rd. Barry and his staff will continue to specialize in meeting customers’ pharmacy and health care needs.
Due to a reduction in the size of the business, postal and lottery services are
no longer available.
The staff at Boomer Drugs is getting used to their new location, and is encouraged by the increased pedestrian traffic, busier atmosphere and fewer accidents in the Marpole commercial district.
They welcome customers, both new and old, to visit them at their new location!
